Celebrity Signature Shoes
As the interest in sneakers grows across the globe, shoe companies are locking up celebrities to produce signature shoes. A few years back, Reebok signed Lil Wayne, Mike Jones & Lupe Fiasco as a part of the “I am what I am” campaign. They all had the same shoe design just different colorway.
G-Unit and Jay-Z to produce their own casual and athletic footwear, Jay-Z’s basketball shoes were actually worn by NBA player Jamal Crawford of the NY Knicks.

Even Nelly signed a sneaker deal with Rbk to create a shoe, which is kind of ironic considering he’s released songs like Air Force Ones (Nike) and Stepping on my J’s (Jordans.)
Recently, Kanye West signed w/ Nike to create the Nike Air Yeezy.

And the gorgeous SI model Marisa Miller collaborated w/ Vans to create her own line of slip ons, high tops and sandals.
The point of all this…Yes these will appeal to the public due to the name on the shoes, but do they really look good??? Personally for me, I wouldn’t rock any of these, except the Kanye’s cuz of that huge strap… Celebrites should just stick to what they do best and let the professionals design the shoes. And if the celebrities still want to have a signature shoe, just stamp their name on an ALREADY designed shoe!!! NO PERSONAL INPUT ALLOWED!!!! Sorry Marisa, even your shoe looks like trash…or atleast looked like someone barfed on them =(…but thats just IMO.
