Fall Makeup Trend: Dark & Dramatic

Fall 2008 Trend: Dark Dramatic Make-Up - Toronto Styles
Fall 08 - Versace, Christian Lacroix, Balenciaga and Viktor & Rolf

It’s time to bring out the dark and dramatic eyes for the season. Put on an extra layer or two of your favourite mascara, a thicker border around your eyes and blend it all in with a dark rich eyeshadow. If you have short eyelashes like me, add a pair of false eyelashes to give your eyes that flirtatious look - wink wink.

I always have thick eyeliner and fake eyelashes on so I’m definitely a fan of this trend! Here are the items that I use:

Estee Lauder: Automatic Eye Pencil Duo
My Mom and I have been using this pencil duo for years. You don’t have to sharpen the pencil - just twist and turn. And if you run out, that’s okay because you can purchase additional refills at The Bay, Sears or any retailers that sell Estee Lauder. It comes on rich and smooth and the smudger helps create that sexy smokey look.

If you’re new to smoky-eyes, no problem because my favourite foundation brand, Bare Escentuals has created tutorial packages that comes with eyeshadows, a brush and instructions to help you get started.
