Nike Air Pippen Retro
For the past few years, sneaker companies have been bringing back the more popular models used in the past such as the Adidas Superstar, Reebok Pump, Nike Air Force One. In my inaugural post, I’ll be focusing on one of my most desired sneakers when I was a kid…. *drumroll*: THE NIKE AIR PIPPEN. I was always jealous of my friends who got this when we were kids and I wasn’t privileged enough to get a pair. It was mainly because of the full length air bubble…air bubbles were must haves back then in ‘97, if you had a single air bubble on the side of the shoe: you were accepted, if you had air bubble for the entire heel: you were cool, if you had full length air bubble: you were GOD…not literally but you would have everyone playing with your shoes.
For those who are trying to relive the glory of what could have been back then… these babies come out in Aug 2008 and retail about $160 US which translates into about $240CDN pretax. (dumb@$$ multiplier)…I will be trying to scavenger around to get a pair (OG colourway, of course) for under retail and if I can’t find it, I will bite the bullet and pay retail…its like seeing you’re old love again…just gotta have it
