Fab Friday – ECCO Berlin
This week I’m looking at ECCO’s Berlins.
It’s nothing fancy shmancy but I like it. Why? Because it’s a boot with the look of a dress shoe. I always hate dress shoes that are low cut (no coverage for the ankle) – just something unsettling about it. The laces really got my attention as most boots have the stretch ankle without laces. What if you want a tighter fit? Sorry, that won’t work without laces. The shape of the toe is also intriguing because it’s not round or pointed, but squared. The square toe provides comfort with an elegant look. I’m not crazy about the upper portion, but who’s going to see it hiding under the pants? The price tag on these are only $240 and I’m thinking if I dropped $250+ on a single pair of kicks in the past, I could drop that on a pair of boots that are more versatile and classy.
On a side note, I haven’t received my hat from last week so I’m losing whatever hope I have left of actually getting it. *sad face*

At first, I wasn’t too sure about the height of the ankle portion but I would have to agree with you. I do like it and it’s traditional dress shoe look. Afterall, it’s not like you’re going to wear these shoes with shorts. And the shape of the toe is perfect. Masculine, stylish and sleek. *thumbs up*
