Anthropologie @ Don Mills - Official Launch Date

April 22, 2009 aka Earth Day is the official day that the Anthropologie store at Don Mills Mall will be open. It will be the first Canadian debut of the three other locations. You can catch a glimpse of the new hot spot on April 21rst at its opening celebration, in support of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
Remember when A&F and Hollister first opened in Toronto?
It’s going to be crazyyy when Anthropologie launches.
Each Anthropologie store is known to have a different design that reflects the nature and history of the site and local environment. This specific location will have a rustic modern feel realized with reclaimed materials and work by artists and artisans, such as wall surfaces hand-crafted from plaster, paper and fabric. The first window and store displays will be focused around honey bees. It will reflect in abstract ways upon their role in our world. Bee related iconography like hives and honeycombs will be recreated with unexpected materials and whimsy.
Mark your calendars for April 22, 2009 at Don Mills Mall.

Here are some more goodie information for all you Anthropologie lovers!
The 8000 square feet store will carry “women’s apparel, accessories, beauty, home décor, decorative antiques and found objects, including brands like Allihop, Bica Chia, Elevenses, Floreat, Maeve, Moulinette Soeurs, among other great brands. Anthropologie will also carry its VERA collection, created in partnership with The Vera Company to honor designer, artist and early feminist icon Vera Neumann.
The store at Shops at Don Mills will present another distinctive project; Anthropologie’s first wholesale apparel line Leifsdottir, which was introduced for Fall 2008. Leifsdottir is designed for the collector who seeks out sophisticated apparel that tells a timeless story with its artistic, modern-dressmaker sensibility, which values a mix of traditional and contemporary elements, fine fabrics and tailoring, striking prints and an extraordinary level of detail. Leifsdottir is currently available at stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, as well as numerous specialty boutiques and select Anthropologie locations.
Anthropologie at Shops at Don Mills opens on Earth Day. To celebrate Anthropologie will debut two, 100% organic cotton t-shirts designed for Anthropologie by Edun. They are a special part of Anthropologie’s efforts to draw attention to the disappearance of honey bees and the organizations dedicated to saving them like The Pennsylvania State University College of Agriculture to which Anthropologie has made a generous donation.”
