Semioticians and fashion theory academics go wild. Could this be a feminist statement against women who are forced to veil themselves (some women choose to)?

Or maybe it’s a comment on the voyeuristic modelizing male model culture, forcing the audience to focus on the actual clothing, and not the model’s handsome face.

Or maybe he thought it looked cool.

This look came down the runway at Carlton Brown’s show last night. The Jamaican-born designer presented a solid menswear line that didn’t really transgress the gendered clothing line save the above outfit.
