Yorkdale is offering a contest for you to showcase your style and personality. Want to know what’s even better? If you win, you can get rewarded with an awesome prize.

The Yorkdale is Me contest is looking to find 10 shoppers to star in the mall’s spring 2010 ad campaign shot by fashion photographer Chris Nicholls.

This is how it works…

All applicants must visit www.yorkdaleisme.com to upload their photo and state why they are undeniably stylish and why they love Yorkdale – there are no limitations here, it is completely open to interpretation! Applicants can apply alone or with a friend, sibling, mother, grandmother, etc – the choice is up to you.

Fifty finalists will then be selected to take part in an in-mall casting photo shoot. A panel of celebrity judges – including Melissa Grelo, co-host of CP24 Breakfast; Lisa Tant, Editor, Flare; and Amy Verner, Style Reporter, the Globe and Mail, to name a few – will be selecting nine winners. The 10th finalist will be chosen through an online people’s choice vote, which begins October 30, 2009.

Aside from being featured in the ad campaign, all 10 winners will also receive:

• a $1,000 Yorkdale gift certificate
• two-hour wardrobe consultation with a member of the Yorkdale Dream Team
• Toronto Fashion Week sponsor prize package
• VIP access to the spring 2010 collections during Toronto Fashion Week.

In addition, the people’s choice winner will have exclusive use of a reserved parking spot for one year at Yorkdale and the other nine finalists will receive free valet parking for one year!

Just to keep you guys updated here are some important dates for you to keep in mind about the contest.

* September 2nd to October 9th, 2009 – Call for Entries.
* October 16th, 2009 – 50 selected finalists notified.
* October 20th to 21st – 50 finalists to take part in an in-mall photo shoot at Yorkdale. (All Finalists must be available on these dates)
* October 30th – November 29th, 2009 – Online voting for People’s Choice Award
* November 30th, 2009 – Winners Announced to be featured in Yorkdale’s Spring 2010 Ad Campaign.
